The Veal Quality Assurance Program (VQAP) is a strict set of science-based policies and guidelines defining what have come to be recognized and accepted as BEST PRODUCTION PRACTICES the raising of calves for the production of veal.
This in-depth program has been developed over years of research and study by leading agricultural scientists at major universities throughout the country. It is administered and monitored by The American Veal Association.
This research is an ongoing process, designed to incorporate continuous improvement into the agricultural science of raising calves for the American food supply. As better processes and techniques evolve, and are then proven to suit the strict criteria for the betterment of the industry, this information will be shared with producers and allied industry.
The VQAP helps insure that American consumers have access to the best, highest quality, humanely raised, and safest veal supply available anywhere in the world.
